While some may call Marvel Rivals as an Overwatch clone, creator NetEase deserves credit for discovering creative ways to engage its eager and dedicated audience. Enter Lady Loki, a brand-new outfit for the existing Strategist hero Loki, offering players a comics-accurate version of the Norse trickster god(dess).
A Reskin of Loki, Not Hela
Despite earlier fan speculation, the highly anticipated Lady Loki costume is definitely not a skin for Hela. Rather, it is a full-on visual overhaul of Loki the character, complete with new voiceover work. Judging by the reveal trailer, Lady Loki keeps the full suite of Loki's core abilities: Mystical Missile, Deception, and his clone ability. The sole difference is her new appearance, designed to captivate an segment of fans more than ready to spend their Lattice.
Hearing and Seeing Lady Loki
Below is a glimpse at Lady Loki on the battlefield, along with a sample of her new voiceover, performed by voice actor Abby Trott. It's worth noting Trott also voices Magik in Marvel Rivals.
Her dialogue and visual flair bring a fresh dynamic to the familiar kit.
A Gateway to Future Skins
With NetEase has broken the seal with this gender-bent skin for Loki, the Marvel Rivals community is busy speculating about similar swaps. Fan suggestions now include:
- The character Gwenpool as the forthcoming Deadpool.
- Thor's alter ego Jane Foster as the God of Thunder.
- Spider-Gwen as Spider-Woman.
One pressing query is: Will NetEase have the guts to introduce less mainstream alternate versions, such as one-time Ms. Marvel Sharon Ventura as She-Thing? That likely depend on fan demand!
Availability Details
The Lady Loki skin will be available in Marvel Rivals from January 1, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST until January 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. PST.
