Following a week of intense voting, the ultimate showdown has arrived. The competition was initiated to choose the finest first-party game of the ongoing gaming era, marking the five-year milestone of premier gaming consoles. Sixteen competitors—8 from each major console—competed, with fans voting in large numbers to select the top two.
On the Sony corner, the winning title is the endearing platformer Team Asobi's robot hero. Even with challenging notable competition like Death Stranding 2, Santa Monica's epic, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the little hero won out. The reason lies in its tightly designed design and undeniable charm, making it a worthy winner.
On the Xbox corner, the field was more unpredictable, with no clear frontrunner until the closing stages. When all was said and done, MachineGames' adventure claimed victory. This outcome is justified, as the developer leveraged its knowledge from prior releases to deliver a world-spanning adventure with satisfying melee combat and engaging puzzle design. Like its PlayStation counterpart, it embraces a focused experience over open-world bloat.
Both titles are already success stories, but only a single can be named the supreme exclusive title of the era. Our polls are now open. Make your choice registered.
