Juventus Snatch Dramatic Draw After Goal-Filled Second Period Showdown Against Dortmund

British defender Lloyd Kelly scored an equaliser in the sixth minute of added time to salvage a draw for Juventus after a thrilling eight-goal second period at home to Dortmund.

Kelly’s Comeback After Penalty Error

Centre-back Lloyd Kelly – who joined from the Magpies in the summer – conceded a spot-kick to allow the visitors to go 4-2, before he followed up Dusan Vlahovic's late leveler by heading home a cross from Vlahovic later.

Slow Start Gives Way to Scoring Frenzy

Neither side produced much worth mentioning during the first 45 minutes as they cancelled each other out in the middle.

The first half would not have enthused many spectators, but those who stuck around witnessed a burst of real excitement after halftime – with the hosts fought back on three occasions, as eight goals coming after the 51st minute.

This marks only the second Champions League match in which eight scores have been scored in one half, following the latter period in Bayern's 9-2 win against Dinamo Zagreb last season.

Rollercoaster Action

Adeyemi gave Dortmund the first goal when he neatly maneuvered possession just outside of the box and guided his shot past the keeper.

Dortmund stepped up with their finishing, however, 11 minutes after, a moment of brilliance from Juve from Kenan Yildiz resulted in the Turkey international bending a wonderful effort top bins from distance.

Under 120 seconds passed before Dortmund were back ahead, with Felix Nmecha delivering another exquisite shot curling a first-time effort into the top corner.

But the drama continued with further twists around the corner, with Vlahovic coolly finishing in a breakaway less than two minutes to level once more.

Late Drama

After surrendering their advantage on two occasions, Dortmund seized control once again when Yan Couto, sprinting into the penalty area, fired a low drive inside of the post, narrowly past the outstretched hand of Michele di Gregorio.

Ramy Bensebaini doubled Dortmund's lead via a penalty after ex- U21 star Lloyd Kelly touched the ball in his box.

However Vlahovic blasted a late effort in off the woodwork before setting up former club defender Kelly to seal a late draw.
