The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will separate from the main group to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as important members in the powerful family could assist the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Questers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can look forward to finding out which players will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
